Dimitar Stoyanov, stepson of Volen Siderov, the leader of Bulgaria's Ataka nationalist party, has secretly converted to Islam, sources told Novinite.com.
Stoyanov, who is also the deputy head of the party that once protested against the loudspeakers on Sofia's mosque, changed his beliefs after he met a stunning young lady at his mother's wedding with Siderov in Kurdzhali.
Populated predominantly by ethnic Turks, the city of Kurdzhali captured Stoyanov's heart with the beauty of Famze Ahmedova, whose charms were enough to turn the man's political world upside down.
Torn between the call of his heart and the loyalty to his party, Stoyanov decided to convert to Islam in secret, hoping to gradually win over his step-dad and make the party mellower in its views.
