An interview with the author;
"Another thing is globalisation and global reach - take for example Macaquarie Bank... part of their very large wealth-creation comes from their ability to be a global bank and stretch across borders."

Andrew advises that people mustn't blame 'the market' for deciding factors like wage levels. "What we need to understand is: we create the market. The market is a product of people working together and government regulation... Different kinds of markets will determine different kinds of pay rates... Ultimately we are responsible for creating that market - we can't wash our hands of responsibility."
