Sex in the city, Saudi version

In Saudi Arabia and other countries where the genders are rigorously separated, many men have their first sexual experiences with other men, which affects their attitudes toward sex in marriage, Ms. Lootah said.

Many men who had anal sex with men before marriage want the same thing with their wives, because they don’t know anything else,” Ms. Lootah said. “This is one reason we need sex education in our schools.”

i disagree with Ms. Lootah and may agree with you to some extent.

i am a young guy who lived in Saudi Arabia and working on my master in the US right now. i still believe the separation between men and women is healthy and necessary, and is not the reason for having first time experience with a another male. in my country their is a lot of channels to meet other sex if the person want it.

teaching sex in school is important and i personally had they opportunity to learn about sex. we were exposed to some but maybe not enough during our Islamic (Fiqeh) classes in middle and high school. however, if sex will be taught, then Islamic teaching should be the only resource of this teaching since this is the only trusted source by Saudi people in my opinion. if such a thing is proposed,i believe majority would badly support it.
