Parenting advice for the day

the Walt Disney Company is now offering refunds for all those “Baby Einstein” videos that did not make children into geniuses...

“My impression is that parents really believe these videos are good for their children, or at the very least, not really bad for them,” Ms. Rideout said. “To me, the most important thing is reminding parents that getting down on the floor to play with children is the most educational thing they can do.”

When children don't know what they want to do, ask them to show you their toys. Maybe together you can find something fun to do. Young children are capable "meaning-makers" with questions, ideas and theories about how the world works, teachers listen to and learn from the children about their ideas and interests to create the classroom environment and learning experiences. To know more about this aspect one may visit ‘Praxis I test’ section at http://blog-teachingsolutions.org/blog/category/praxis-i/.

I would say nothing is more informative for children than to play with parents and learn new things while playing. All other things are secondary.

This is the right thing that Walt Disney has done i.e to refund the money. I would say children can learn maximum from their parents and they are only their ultimate guides too.
