World Bank Group Security Operations, working with local and federal law enforcement officials, have conducted bomb sweeps of all Bank buildings in Washington and there is no indication of any explosive devices in any of the buildings.
All World Bank offices in Washington will be open for business on Tuesday, January 22nd, after the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday.
The buildings were closed as a precautionary measure following a bomb threat received by telephone. There is an ongoing investigation to determine who was responsible.
I wonder whether this has to do with somebody wanting a long weekend. via FP blog
